Dlala Wena: Saturday Showcases

The Market Lab will continue hosting the Saturday Showcases, Dlala Wena! in 2025. Many moons ago, theatre practitioners from all around Johannesburg would gather at The Market Lab on a Saturday and present their work-in-progress to an open audience for constructive criticism and artistic input. This year, the Lab team will host three showcases, one in May, August and a final one in December – open to creatives between the ages of 16 – 35.

If you are an artist with work-in-progress, you are invited to submit an application, if your application is successful, we will provide you with a date to present your work at any one of our showcase days. Be brave and let’s play!

And if you are an artist who does not mind giving up a Saturday or two, we invite you to join us on the days and be an audience member to provide feedback and developmental support. Building our community of practice one showcase at a time!
